Euroleague: Asvel resists but concedes a sixth straight loss in Munich

As Villeurbanne fought well on the Bayern Munich floor, but ended up conceding their sixth defeat in a row (76-72) in the Euroleague on Tuesday.

Without executives Nando de Colo and Charles Kahudi, the Villeurbannais stayed in contact at the mark, even briefly passing in front of the score on a spectacular alley-oop from Dee Bost for Alex Tyus 1'30'' from the end of the third quarter -time (50-49), but never managed to find a decisive momentum to win.

The two teams which have joined the prestigious European club competition on a permanent basis, after two years as simple guests, are struggling to join the fight for places of honor.

At the heart of the final quarter, the men of TJ Parker, replaced by Morgan Bernou, again took the advantage thanks to two shots from Mathews (59-56), but two long distance baskets from Andreas Obs (5 /8 to three points) nullified their efforts.

Asvel will not have to gamble too much since it plunges back into the Euroleague in Kaunas to challenge Zalgiris there on Thursday, before domestic affairs in Nanterre on Sunday.
