Syrian media reported tonight (Tuesday) that Israel attacked the international airport in Aleppo.

It was later reported that the attack disabled the entire airport.

No casualties are known.

The last attack attributed to Israel was last month in the center of Damascus, when it was claimed that five people were killed and 15 others were injured.

According to the Syrian Organization for Human Rights, which is affiliated with the opposition, 15 people were killed in an attack aimed at Iranian and Hezbollah targets.

The London-based organization described it as Israel's deadliest attack on the Syrian capital.

Israel did not respond.

"Damage was caused to the homes of civilians and damage to several neighborhoods in and around Damascus," the Syrian army said in a statement.

Earlier it was reported that the air defense systems had been activated, and according to some reports one of the anti-aircraft missiles that were launched past the Israeli planes was the one that caused the high number of deaths in the neighborhood of Kfar Sousa, which is located near several Iranian installations.
