The mayor of Rosario,
Pablo Javkin
, highlighted on Tuesday the package of measures announced by President Alberto Fernández to deal with the growing drug violence in the city, but stressed that the situation "demands immediate results."
"It is a reaction on all the points that we had raised and that obviously now has to be converted into results. It is the task that is coming," said the community chief in statements to LN+.
After the threats to the family of Lionel Messi and the town this Monday, Alberto Fernández announced a series of measures for the growing drug violence in Rosario that includes reinforcement of federal forces and the presence of the Army in popular neighborhoods.
In this context, Javkin specified: "We said it. The prisons, the control of the territory. The President says in the message 'the country cannot allow this within its territory'. Rosario needs a concrete reaction from the federal state. The message and

"We said it and all the points are there [in the head of state's announcement]: the prisons, the territory, the deployment of forces, the urbanizations, that's what we need."
"In each of these points we are going to be in the first line working so that this materializes in results, so that our people can live in peace," he stressed.
"Rosario needs immediate results," Javkin emphasized.
