Rape and murder at the Schützenhalle: 20-year-old suspect
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, March 5, 2023, the 19-year-old was reported missing around 1 a.m. during a party at the Schützenhalle in the Bramschen district of Pente in Lower Saxony.
Around 2:40 a.m., party guests found the young woman seriously injured on the soccer field behind the Schützenheim.
She succumbed to her injuries.
There is said to have been a rape and then a murder.
The 20-year-old who was arrested as a suspect in his apartment on Sunday was also at this celebration.
Prosecutor spokesman Alexander Retemeyer told

that the young man was not drunk and would remain silent about the allegations.
Two investigators brought the alleged suspect to the magistrate.
An arrest warrant has also been issued.
The public prosecutor is investigating on suspicion of murder.

20-year-old suspect is an active soccer goalkeeper
As media circles continue to report, the first details about the alleged perpetrator are now leaking out.
The 20-year-old is said to be a passionate footballer in the local football club in the neighboring town and to have taken the position of goalkeeper.
Party guests would have given hints about him in the evening because he was obviously very close to the 19-year-old at the party.
Public prosecutors are investigating murder and rape in Bramsche
Meanwhile, the police report that the 20-year-old knew the deceased 19-year-old.
"We assume that the two did not meet for the first time," said the spokesman for the Osnabrück public prosecutor's office, senior public prosecutor Alexander Retemeyer, on Monday to the

The exact relationship between the two is part of the investigation.

Murder in the Schützenhaus Bramsche: No statements on the allegations
According to the public prosecutor's office, an autopsy of the body was carried out on Sunday.
The result should not be announced for investigative tactical reasons.
The alleged perpetrator has not yet provided any information on the allegations.
Based on the way the young woman's body was found, investigators are assuming a homicide as well as a sex crime.
The 20-year-old is now being transferred to the Hameln prison.
