Parkstein – A tragic accident occurred in Parkstein (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district) on Monday afternoon (March 6).
According to the police, an eight-year-old boy was on his bike at around 2:30 p.m.
The child was hit by a school bus at an intersection and succumbed to his fatal injuries on the spot.

According to the police, a 59-year-old man from Weiden drove the bus.
The public prosecutor's office ordered an expert to investigate the cause of the accident on site.
The police have not yet been able to make any statements about the course of events, a spokesman for the Neustadt/Waldnaab police inspection said on BR.
