Arad attacked the Minister of Communications and said that he abandoned the fighters of squadron 69 - who announced that they would not report to the reserves as a protest against the legal reform promoted by the government. "The fighters of 69 risked their lives for you, for your family and for more than 2.5 million Israeli citizens who do not serve in the army at all," she said. "The irony committed suicide"

Tami Arad today (Tuesday) supported the decision of the reserve pilots not to show up for training - following the legal revolution promoted by the government.

"Proud of you for the symbolic decision - you took the lead as in the operational activity that you do quietly," she wrote in a post on Facebook.

"As someone who has personally experienced the risks you take, it is clear to me beyond any doubt that you cannot behave differently. You must be sure that the government that sends you on missions will be democratic and preserve the values of the IDF."

Arad also added that it is squadron 69, to which the reserve pilots belong, it is the squadron in which Ron Arad served.

"69 is our squadron - I know some of the young reservists, I know the squadron commanders, and without going into clichés about the quality of people like them in other units in the entire army, the soldiers of 69 were and remain leaders and I am proud of them," she added.

"Those who call them refuseniks are wrong and misleading. Those who call them derogatory names do so because they have no intelligent way to deal with their value and moral statement. The pilots of 69 will continue to volunteer for the reserves as long as there is an independent court in Israel, which can protect them and us on days when the sun is shining or when the sky is clear In other words - they will volunteer for the reserves as long as Israeli democracy exists. If, to our dismay, the coup d'état succeeds, and we will see that in three weeks according to what is implied today from the Constitutional Committee, they will not serve in the dictatorship. It's as simple as that."

"The irony committed suicide."

Arad wondered about the shock and criticism following the announcement of the reserve pilots not to report to the reserve as a sign of protest.

"They are not the only ones - the cyber people, the 8200 people, Golani Patrol fighters, Agoz fighters, the alpinists, 669 fighters, the military doctors, many good ones publish alerts to the government every day. So why the shock?", Arad wrote.

"Pilots are called for training and operational attacks every week," she explained.

"Their activity is reported by foreign parties and their message is the most tangible, and shows the public the direct harm to the state's security. Everyone is concentrating on the pilots, but even if the 8200 men, and the Agoz fighters and the Golani patrol fighters do not enlist in the reserves, the State of Israel will not be able to exist."

    The truth is revealed

Arad clarified that the pilots are not threatening to violate the contract with the state - but the real danger lies with the politicians.

"The politicians in this government fraudulently decided after the elections to change the rules," she said.

"None of the voters in the last elections voted to change the system of the regime. The citizens of Israel did not cast a ballot for or against democracy or for or against legislation that would neutralize the independent judicial system in the country."

"The Minister of Communications, who served maybe a year in the army, sent the 69 fighters to hell," she added.

"Those fighters who received the Chief of Staff's Medal for excellence in operational activity in enemy territory. If I try to translate my answer into English it will sound like this: The fighters of 69 risked their lives for you, for your family and for more than 2.5 million Israeli citizens who do not serve in the army at all. During the years of this country's existence, my husband and his friends went to hell to protect our beloved country, but you and your friends in the government, most of whom never joined the military, are appalled.

How did they say before me?

The irony committed suicide."
