Three years ago, the Jalaper workshop was fashioning watch faces from the bonnet of an Aston Martin DB5. This time, it's the mythical Miura's turn...

Sustainable is one of the new buzzwords.

But some creations are already by nature, whether they are timepieces or racing cars.

So, when the two merge, it borders on eternity…

This is the strange and elegant idea that two enthusiasts had, three years ago, when they created Atelier Jalaper.

The concept of two friends who have become partners, Louis Jalaber and Simon Szleper: to merge their two passions - vintage cars and watchmaking - into a single creation.

Thus was born a first model with a dial carved into the aluminum bonnet of an Aston Martin DB5.

Yes, the mythical James Bond racing car!

The new AJ-P400 watch with a dial taken from a Lamborghini Miura.

But there are other exceptional machines, and the Lamborghini Miura is certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever designed.

The first of the supercars, the AJ-P400, this time inspired them for four new collections of 400 watches offered at €1,800.

After a long process of creating the design jointly between the young partners and the designer Xavier Perrenoud, the result was obvious: a piece with curves inspired by those of the Miura, with a taut and low profile.

At the heart of a hornless case associated with an elegantly oval bezel, this dial carved out of a piece of genuine Lamborghini Miura is inspired by the speedometers of yesteryear, its indexes of different sizes and its 270° revolution leaving a free space at 6 o'clock where

On the back of the watch, you can see the hand-wound Swiss caliber through a smoked transparent glass back: an allusion to the legendary “incendiary disease” of the Miura.

Four versions of this model, entirely produced and assembled in Switzerland, are already available to order.

Each offers a different highlight color, in reference to the legendary "dresses" of the Miura: Verde Scandal, Azzurro Mexico, Arancio Miura and Nero Cangiante.
