The PP suspends the mayor of Villar de Cañas from militancy for his insults to Irene Montero

The PP has suspended the mayor of Villar de Cañas (Cuenca), José María Saiz, from militancy for his insults to Minister Irene Montero, of whom he said that he had come to occupy the Ministry of Equality for giving fellatio to Pablo Iglesias.

The Rights and Guarantees Committee of the Popular Party has published a statement in which it informs that it has terminated the information file open to the councilor and that, in addition to the suspension of membership, it has agreed to open a disciplinary procedure for his statements.

This decision will prevent José María Saiz from running with the acronym of the PP in the next municipal elections in May, since the PP statutes prevent someone suspended from militancy from being a candidate, according to sources from the party led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

The decision was announced on the eve of 8-M, International Women's Day, and almost a month after a public complaint by the former Vice President of the Government, Pablo Iglesias, came to light.

"Irene Montero has sores in her mouth from sucking her pigtails," Iglesias wrote in a message on the Twitter network on February 9, in which she included the manifestations of José María Saiz.

The PP announced that it would "immediately" open an information file against the councilor, "which could lead to an expulsion file."

The Provincial Electoral Committee of the PP also said that they would assess the candidacy of the councilor for the next municipal elections in May, but the decision announced this Tuesday prevents, according to the PP statutes, the current councilor from running again as a representative of this party, according to indicate sources of training.

José María Saiz has been in charge of this small municipality for seven terms, known for having claimed a Nuclear Waste Warehouse.

The PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, censured the words of the Villar de Cañas councilor and announced that the formation would take action.

"There are hundreds of reasons to censor Irene Montero's career as a minister, but not everything goes in politics," said the popular leader, who added that he will not accept "any attack on the dignity of a woman under the acronym of the PP."
