Armed men want to rob a beverage store: but an employee pulls out the baseball bat
On Monday evening, March 6th, around 7 p.m., two masked men wanted to attack a drinks market on “Von-Bodelschwingh-Straße” in Grevenbroich, reports 24RHEIN.
The perpetrators threatened the 26-year-old employee with a silver pistol, according to the police in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
The strangers demanded money from the cash register.
But the clerk refused and instead put the armed perpetrators to flight.
"When the clerk pulled a baseball bat from under the register, the robbers fled in an unknown direction without taking anything," the police said.
Because Youssef Heinz Satici, that's the man's name, was attacked in the drinks market in September 2022, reports the

"The store was just empty.
They held a silver gun in my face and just shouted 'Money!'
and loaded through,” says Satici.
"I went behind my cash register, said 'not with me', grabbed the baseball bat and swung it …" reports the employee of the

Police warn:
"Should you find yourself in the unlikely position of being involved in an armed robbery, the only right thing to do is to give in to the perpetrator(s)' demands. Your life is more important than any valuables. Weapons always pose an absolute danger to your life!" (Source police NRW)
Armed robbery at the beverage market in Grevenbroich: the police are looking for witnesses
Now the police are looking for the hooded perpetrators.
The two men are said to have been between 20 and 30 years old.
They were dressed in black quilted jackets, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
According to witnesses, there was a visible size difference between the men.
"Probably at least one of the strangers spoke German without an accent."
Witnesses who can provide information about the person being searched for are asked to call Criminal Police Office 12 on 02131 300-0.
