A singers' and musicians' meeting for a good cause will take place on March 25th in the Garmisch-Partenkirchner Kongresshaus.

Eight groups will be on stage.

The proceeds benefit the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Mountain Rescue Service.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen – It is an event that has captivated more than 700 listeners in the last few editions.

After 2009, the singers' and musicians' meeting "Aufg'spuit und g'sunga" will be held in the Kongresshaus ballroom again.

The groups are mixed from all over the district, Chiemgau and even from South Tyrol.

This year, the meeting (Saturday, March 25, 8 p.m. in the congress center) is being organized by Hinterleit'n-Musi together with the volunteers of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Mountain Rescue Service, just like it was 13 years ago.

They are also the beneficiaries of the fundraiser.

The net proceeds benefit the alpine rescuers.

And to ensure that the donation box is well filled and that many visitors stream in, Stefanie Weiß has arranged for eight well-known groups from the Alpine region to perform in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for a good cause.

The Kaserolmsänger from St. Lorenzen in the South Tyrolean Pustertal have the longest journey.

"With genuine, simple and honest folk music, they express down-to-earthness, love of their homeland and customs," explains Georg Oberhöller.

"She is able to connect hearts across all borders and helps to overcome many a challenge in life." The four-part group has existed for 23 years.

The repertoire includes something written by Sepp Oberhöller, the driving force behind the group.

In addition to lively songs and pieces for folk music evenings, they particularly appreciate singing at church events.

The 306er-Musi is a five-piece Tanzlmusi from the Chiemgau.

They gave themselves the name because the home towns of the musicians are connected by the federal highway 306.

Numerous groups from the district, Chiemgau and even from South Tyrol on stage

Anderl and Andreas Leidgschwendner are the first and second voices of the Haushamer Bergwachtgsang.

They will be accompanied on the benefit evening by Maria Holzer on the zither and Heiner Oberhorner on the guitar.

The members of the Oimräsalmusi come from Nußdorf am Inn and Miesbach.

For almost ten years, the still young artists have been playing real, alpine folk music with two clarinets, ziach, harp and double bass.

Her repertoire also includes pieces she has written herself.

Among their successes, the Oimräsalmusi can count the Traunsteiner Lindl in 2014, several television productions on BR and participation on various recordings.

For Michi Scheil from Piding (Rupertiwinkel) and Erika Dettendorfer from Nußdorf am Inn, the biggest problem at the beginning was finding a suitable name for a song that is a bit different in terms of location.

Together with Tamara Kaltenbacher from Berchtesgaden they called themselves Dreiwinkl-G'sang from then on.

"Because all three come from different corners or angles," says Weiß.

The three native groups are well known in the county.

The Mittenwalder Zithermusi, the Weiß-Bader-Kofler harp trio and the Hinterleit'n-Musi, which is co-organizing the singers' meeting, complete the evening for the benefit of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen mountain rescue service.

The event will be hosted by Markus Tremmel, who has gained notoriety through BR radio and television.
