Last week, two bills were passed in the Knesset in preliminary reading regarding the statute of limitations for sexual offenses.

One was submitted by Knesset member Eliyahu Rabivo (Likud), in which he seeks to extend the statute of limitations for sexual offenses by harming an outside party to the age of 50. The second bill was submitted by MK Efrat Raiten (Labor) and it concerns the cancellation of the statute of limitations for sexual offenses Within the family.

Yael Vared's 'Shame goes to the other side' project placed on the billboards men accused of extreme acts of violence against women. Among them those accused of rape in Eilat, those accused of murdering their wives Eliran Malol, Amir Raz and others. In addition, the project published billboards with pictures of Women like Shira Isakov and Liana Hazan who were attacked by their partners.

According to Vared, "Hila's image will be displayed on the front page, beautiful, proud, strong and most of all looking directly at the camera, because she has nothing to be ashamed of - he will be ashamed."

Vared added that "Sexual offenses do not really have a statute of limitations in the victim's soul. Because of this, we must continue to promote the bill to repeal the statute of limitations for sexual offenses against minors, after unsuccessful attempts to pass it for 25 years."
