A judicial investigation for spousal homicide was opened today.
The defendant was indicted and remanded in custody
,” said Cyril Lacombe, public prosecutor in Poitiers.
Died after falling from fifth floor
The victim, aged 39 and also of Eritrean nationality, was found dead after a fall from the fifth floor of the building where she lived with her husband and their three children.

The man, aged 42 and enjoying political refugee status, would have admitted the facts, the newspaper reported.
The couple's three children have been cared for by child welfare services.
