The planned renovation of the swimming pool is giving the members of the Bad Tölz water sports club "big stomach ache".

This emerges from the association's report on its annual meeting.

Bad Tölz - .

"A longer-lasting closure will literally break our gnack," Chief Executive Stephan Zacherl is quoted as saying.

Especially after the Corona period, when many children could not learn to swim, it would be fatal to close the indoor pool for renovation work.

But if there were already conversions, Zacherl continues, “then we would also urgently need a teaching pool for a sports pool.

Here you could hold urgently needed swimming courses or water familiarization courses and at the same time maintain sports operations. ”Like the water rescue service, the WSV receives many inquiries about swimming courses.

"But we are a swimming club and cannot handle the swimming courses at all," says Zacherl.

"We're hoping for a positive outcome on both counts."

Also worry about Tölzer Triathlon

According to the announcement, the planned road construction work between Ellfach and Kirchbichl is also causing the WSV a bit of stomach ache.

The bike course of the Tölzer Triathlon, which is planned for June 25th, runs there.

“If the construction work takes place after June 25th, everything is ok.

But if they start before that, we have a little problem,” said organizer Stefan Wengenmayr.

"We are in the process of planning a 'Plan B', but nobody is quite happy with it."

Thanks and gift for Stefan Wengenmayr

Elections were also held at the meeting.

Almost all board members were confirmed in their positions.

Only Markus Zacharias resigned as secretary.

Board member Zacherl thanked him with a gift basket.

The successor is Zacharias' previous deputy Angelika Mathes, second secretary and thus new to the board is Peter Schottenheim.

Triathlon department head Maximilian Filipp thanked Stefan Wengenmayr with a gift basket, where the threads of the Tölz triathlon and the Swim & Runs ran together as the main organizer for seven years.

He promised to train his successor Stefan Ege-Dustmann in his office and to continue to help with the organization.
