A pharmacist from Chambon-Feugerolles (Loire) was banned from practicing after suspicions of health insurance fraud, between 2017 and 2021, in the amount of nearly 200,000 euros, we learned this Thursday from judicial sources.
His trial is to be held on September 5, according to the same source.
Arrested on Monday and then released on Tuesday at the end of his police custody, this 52-year-old health professional will mainly have to answer for the offenses of "
aiding in the misuse or abuse of drugs
" and "
irregular delivery of drugs
", told AFP the Saint-Etienne prosecutor's office, which entrusted the investigation to the Central Office for the fight against damage to the environment and public health (Oclaesp).
Prohibited from leaving the territory
Among the substances he would have issued via false prescriptions, by usurping the identity of several doctors, are psychotropic drugs and opioids, he added, specifying that the pharmacist was now prohibited from "leaving the territory

In addition, justice accuses him of an abuse of corporate assets to the detriment of his pharmacy for an amount estimated at nearly 200,000 euros as well.
Several hundred thousand euros of property belonging to him were finally seized and transferred to AGRASC (Agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated assets) as a precaution, according to the same source.
