Electric scooters, and more generally motorized personal transport devices (EDPM), are regularly at the heart of controversy.

In Paris during the year 2022, 408 accidents were recorded with these means of transport, whether private or self-service.

They resulted in the death of three people and injured 459 others.

These figures have been on the rise since 2020. That year, 294 accidents and 323 injuries were recorded.
