Since the current Andalusian legislature began, Vox has been tickling the president of the Junta, Juan Manuel Moreno.

"We want him to portray himself", the spokesmen for the far-right group usually say in an attempt to draw out the contradictions between what the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, proposes if he reaches the Government, or Isabel Díaz Ayuso in the Community of Madrid .

And the Comprehensive Transsexuality Law of Andalusia, approved unanimously in 2014, is one of those stones that Vox has put in the way for Moreno to stumble, without succeeding.

The Andalusian president has defended this Thursday in the control session of the autonomous Parliament the 'trans law' that his group supported together with the PSOE and Izquierda Unida nine years ago.

And he not only defended her, but also used his political autonomy so as not to follow the proposals of his party.

Feijóo has promised to repeal the

trans law

proposed by the Pedro Sánchez government and approved last February after a fierce dispute between the partners of the progressive coalition.

Díaz Ayuso has also assumed Vox's proposal to repeal the regional law that regulates gender self-determination, although he will do so after the regional elections on May 28.

"Madrid is Madrid and Andalusia is Andalusia", Moreno replied to the Vox spokesman, Manuel Gavira, who urged him to clarify with "a yes or a no" if he was going to revoke the trans-Andalusian norm.

“Madrid can do whatever they want.

Nobody conditions me, no autonomous community or the central government ”, said the president of the Board.

Gavira predicted a series of catastrophes due to the application of legislation that, according to him, corners women.

It is not the first time that Moreno has distanced himself from the Ayuso administration, especially with matters that are part of the Vox agenda.

Although in the last legislature the popular president agreed with the party of Santiago Abascal, then his parliamentary ally, to promote a law of harmony to replace the Andalusian law of Democratic Memory, the Andalusian government has not taken a step in that direction, although the memorialist associations complain about lack of public resources.

The PP believes that Moreno covers the "centre-left flank" that he seeks to capture with a view to the general elections in December and that gave him such good results in the regional elections of June 2022, when he not only achieved an absolute majority, but also attracted the 15.6% of the socialist voter.

Moreno has reproached Vox for confusing "its minority ideological postulates" with what "the majority of Andalusians want."

He has also ensured that the central government's

trans law

is not similar to the Andalusian law, although it inspired all the regulations that were later approved by the majority of the regional parliaments.

“There are trans

people

and on many occasions they suffer due to lack of information, due to harassment.

We cannot ignore them, and it does not matter if they are a minority or a majority”, assured the president of the Board.

Although Vox does not have the leading role of yesteryear, it does sometimes condition the PP's agenda: the bill of both groups to increase irrigation in the area of Doñana is an example.

But it also sometimes determines the development of parliamentary plenary sessions.

In this Thursday's session, Vox and Adelante Andalucía rebuked a question from the spokesperson for Teresa Rodríguez's party, José Ignacio García, about affective-sexual education in public schools.

At a certain point, García has accused Vox of being "the party of the abusers" and from the Vox bench they have replied with insults: "Your fucking mother, asshole."

The president of Parliament, Jesús Aguirre, has unsuccessfully tried to get the Adelante spokesman to remove the expression "abusers" from the session journal.

"The fat bitch for you, but that is unpresentable," Aguirre replied.

Vox deputies have also been noted during a question from Adelante deputy, Maribel Mora, about the treatment of menopause in public health.

Mora has denounced the "laughter" of Vox deputies while she was speaking.
