On video: "We believe in love and not in violence": the couple who kissed during the blockades in Ayalon (Alex Parfouri)
Or Karti and Amit Lokshinsky, two men aged 22 and 31 from Tel Aviv who participated today (Thursday) in blocking the Ayalon lanes in protest of the legal revolution promoted by the government, were recorded kissing while the police tried to clear them from the road.
In a conversation with Walla, they recreate the event, which caused many echoes.
"We were at the barricade in Ayalon first line, we all sat down and joined hands. When we were sitting we told each other that if they tried to separate us or set us up we would kiss - and that's what happened," Or said.
"Policemen came from all directions and very violently tried to break us up, so we kissed. They crushed us to the floor, cursed and scratched us."
According to Or, the step taken by the two has great significance.
"We showed what we believe in - with love, not violence. I wasn't afraid because we were together."
