The district of Ebersberg is increasing the refugee accommodation in Pöring and is still at the limit.
Ukrainians also come and are housed in Zorneding.
District
– Space is still tight.
The district is currently looking intensively for additional accommodation options for refugees.
But they are difficult to find.
First of all, the accommodation in Pöring (Gemeinde Zorneding) could be increased to its maximum occupancy through restructuring.
That would be room for 120 people.
The exam is still running.
Test for Pöring is still running
Time is running out.
The youngest bus with refugees arrived yesterday, Thursday, March 9th.
There are around 50 people from Ukraine.
These will be accommodated in the accommodation in Zorneding at the train station.
This is the facility that burned down in September 2021 and has since been renovated.
With this occupancy, however, the district's buffer of free places is likely to be almost exhausted.
According to the district office, it is not yet known when the next bus will come.
80 government shelters in the county
And this is the current status: In the district of Ebersberg there are currently 80 state accommodations of different sizes.
A total of 1251 people are state-accommodated in the district.
In the case of 1110 people, this is mainly done as part of the asylum procedure.
141 people are from Ukraine.
According to the district office, 431 of the 1,251 people are so-called false documents, including all Ukrainians.
The others are, among other things, people whose asylum procedure has been completed positively, but who cannot find an apartment.
These "false documents" must still be accommodated.
The problem: If they cannot find an apartment, they are considered homeless and fall under the responsibility of the respective municipality, which usually cannot help due to a lack of housing.
Ukrainians are not counted exactly
The district office does not have any reliable information on the number of people from Ukraine living privately.
According to the authority, the data is not recorded there in its entirety.
There are two types of refugees from Ukraine: on the one hand, people who come privately and also live privately, on the other hand, people who, for example, initially live in reception facilities and are then distributed to the districts.
Apart from Ukraine, most of the refugees currently come from Afghanistan, Turkey and Nigeria.
Compression is an alternative
According to the district office, "densification" in existing facilities is basically one way of expanding capacities.
"However, the guidelines for accommodation and the specifications of building law must be taken into account," emphasizes the district authority.
There are no plots for tents
An alternative would be to set up tents for refugees.
However, no land is currently being offered, according to the district office.
Since there is no land, there are currently no timelines for such a project.
The use of security on site serves to avoid conflicts.
The same is true of social care.
In the case of new rentals, the neighborhood is informed via personal discussions and/or flyers.
The general reporting in the local media also serves to inform the population.
Gyms are still taboo
Couldn't the district office simply continue to refuse assignments of refugees?
The answer from press spokeswoman Evelyn Schwaiger: "That has not yet happened." According to the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior, such a possibility of refusal is not planned.
When asked, the district office emphasized again: The gyms are still taboo.
