A great friend, certainly.
I know him better since I have held this position.
We have already seen each other twice at international summits, at COP27 and at the G20, and we have been in contact a lot since then.
We even exchanged a lot of text messages about football
(before the quarter-final of the 2022 France-England World Cup, editor’s note)
and he had been very elegant… I am very happy to know him and we have already worked closely , whether on Ukraine, energy security, illegal immigration and, more recently - with its European allies - the Windsor agreement on Northern Ireland.
