The national government finally authorized the entry into the country of the
Taser pistols that the City bought
for the Buenos Aires police.
"I confirm that
ANMAC finally authorized the importation
of Tasers to CABA," Buenos Aires Chief of Staff Felipe Miguel said Thursday.
It was the National Agency for Controlled Materials (ANMAC) that approved the importation of these non-lethal weapons that the Buenos Aires government has claimed to be able to use for a long time.
The Federal Police is also processing the purchase of electronic pistols, as confirmed weeks ago by the National Security Minister, Aníbal Fernández.
