Since the start of the processions in Nantes against the pension reform, it is not uncommon to see fireworks in the sky fired by certain participants.
Sometimes these rockets are oriented much more horizontally towards law enforcement.
This was again the case on Tuesday during a “record” day of mobilization in the city of the Dukes.
That day, 75,000 people according to the unions - 30,000 according to the Loire-Atlantique prefecture - marched through the streets of the city to challenge the current government plan.

A policeman was slightly injured in the foot.
Should we see a causal link?
Still, for the first time since the start of this protest movement in Nantes, the prefecture has just issued an order prohibiting
“the wearing, transport and use of fireworks”
.
Professionals not affected
This will be effective this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.,
“in the municipalities of the Nantes Métropole agglomeration”
.
According to the terms of the State services, this decision stems from the
"dangers, accidents and serious harm to persons and property which may result from the use of fireworks, in particular on the public highway and in places of assembly"
.
The order made would therefore aim to
“protect people”
.

It should be noted that this text does not apply to everyone.
“Persons justifying the use of fireworks for professional purposes, or for a local authority, holders of the certificate of qualification, can transport and use all categories of fireworks during this period”, nuances
the prefectural decree.
