Former President Donald Trump has been invited to testify before a grand jury in Manhattan, New York, as part of the investigation into payments to a porn star who claims to have had an intimate relationship with the former president, two Trump lawyers said.

Lawyers have not said whether the former president will testify.

Trump has not received a court order to testify and has not been forced to appear in court as part of the investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, the former president's lawyers told NBC News.
