Drones fly day and night over the prison center of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, in the Rhône-Alpes region,
a police source
told Le
Figaro .
This was the case this Friday morning around 10:45 am, when a flying machine was reported above the sports ground of the Auvergne prison.
Not far from there, its pilot, "
camouflaged
", directs the drone "
in a targeted manner in order to proceed with the dropping of packages
", continues this same police source.
“
Luckily, the sports monitor supervisor is mistaken for an inmate and it is he who recovers the packages that have fallen at his feet
”, we add.
A total of 1 kg of cannabis was recovered.
“
All large penitentiary structures are confronted with this rapidly expanding phenomenon which obviously poses a serious security problem, because in addition to narcotics and mobile phones, many other much more feared objects can enter
our structures.
It is extremely worrying
”, adds the same source, stressing that these maneuvers “
say a lot about the profitability of this business
”.
