The Ministry of Education intends to call for a hearing teachers from a school in Netivot after some of them started a group during an annual trip in which they made fun of female students of Ethiopian origin.
The group was called "Black Annual Trip" and according to a video that was circulated on social networks, you can see the teachers who laughed at the girls in the group.
The Ministry of Education says that this is a limited group of teachers.
The annual trip to the north of the country has not yet ended.
The female students wrote to the teachers in response that "It is sad as the girls of the congregation to see the level you have descended to today. Instead of you being our teachers, serving as an example and feeling in our safest place, this morning you did the opposite. To start a group called 'Black Yearly Trip' without even knowing that there are female students behind you - like this To talk mockingly and disparagingly about your students? You see the pictures and you can't believe that it comes from our bumps. You are a shame."

The Ministry of Education stated in response that the statements of the teachers in the group are being examined and an inquiry was made with the teachers in order to obtain details about the incident.
"This is a very serious incident that should not be put on the agenda. The teachers involved in the incident will be summoned to a hearing as soon as possible," the Ministry of Education said.
It has not yet been clarified whether the teachers meant the racist statements and the Ministry of Education.
