The South District Attorney's Office today (Sunday) submitted a statement of prosecution against a 26-year-old resident of Jerusalem, for the rape of a young woman in Eilat about two weeks ago.
After the incident, a relative of the young woman filed a complaint with the police.
According to the young woman's testimony, she knew the suspect the night before and he raped her in his home in Eilat.
The police detained him for questioning and his detention was extended from time to time.
In the coming days, the South District Attorney's Office will submit an indictment against him and a request for his arrest until the end of the proceedings.
He raped her in his house the day after he met her.

Just last week, two people were arrested on suspicion of committing an indecent act on two women in a hotel in Eilat.
According to the suspicion, the men said in the receipt that they had come to visit the women.
The two denied the allegations against them.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police opened an investigation and managed to track down the two suspects and arrest them.
At the request of their lawyers, the court prohibited the publication of their details.
