Due to the drug crisis, the election in Santa Fe becomes a hostile challenge: the ruling party and the opposition do not get a candidate

It is a concept that was installed in a sector of politics and that accounts for the lack of leadership, a phenomenon that worries the Frente de Todos in the province most urgently affected by drug violence and insecurity.

: it is the third district with the highest electoral weight in the country -just over 8%-, behind the province of Buenos Aires and Córdoba, and just above the City of Buenos Aires.

Omar Perotti

-according to his own polls he is the best positioned leader in the province- is aware of this reality.

Without the possibility of re-election -he will head the list of provincial deputies-, prevented by the current law, the governor was never able to unify the different factions of Peronism behind him.

He was, rather, the complete opposite.

"There is no conclusive electoral reference. The stage is completely open

," one of the leaders who intends to compete in the PASO for governor on July 16 explained to this newspaper.

In this context of dispersion, there are five leaders who are mentioned as possible candidates for the governorship, in an internal one whose result is uncertain: the deputies

-Perotti's dolphin-,

-of the Evita Movement- and

-from La Cámpora-, senator

and the provincial legislator

, referenced in Agustín Rossi and son-in-law of publicist Enrique "Pepe" Albistur, very mobile in these times.

"It's a dwarf race"

, repeats one of those possible candidates.

A few weeks ago,

, who maintains good levels of popularity in Santa Fe -particularly in Rosario-, received Lewandowski in her office, according to Senate sources.

There was, they say, more than one meeting.

They talked about this year's electoral strategy: the senator had headed the list for the Upper House in 2021 after an agreement that Perotti and the vice president sealed and that had to include Rossi.

The President could not -or did not want to- convince his current chief of staff to decline his nomination.

Kirchnerism is going through a particular scenario in Santa Fe.

Cleri, the country leader in the province, has recently covered Rosario and the provincial capital with posters.

, but he was never able to get off the ground.

but who transcends that ministry in the structure of La Cámpora,

began to walk the province .

According to sources in that sector, Carignano can apply in any category.

In Kirchnerism there is some concern.

, they highlight in the province in reference to Cleri.

In Christianity, they expect Lewandowski's decision in this sense, which is widely accepted, especially in Rosario.

Mirabella, on the contrary, accumulates a greater number of votes in the north-central part of the province.

The senator, however, is going through moments of tension with Perotti and with Mirabella, who has raised her profile in recent weeks due to the events in Rosario linked to drug insecurity.

"The governor has more affinity with (Pablo) Javkin than with me

," Lewandowski told the newspaper El Litoral in January.

In private, near the senator they are even more forceful.

"No one guarantees you victory. Marcelo cannot put his head behind a Peronism that is divided, with Perotti playing against and with a limited support from the Government," they say.

Lewandowski does not rule out, according to reports, staying in the Senate and not running for any category. 

In the ruling party they wait, in that scenario, for the opposition.

Senator

appears as the potential candidate for governor: she is the one who measures best.

In Together for Change they await her decision: they say in the opposition that the senator is meditating on a definition.

But she doesn't convince her to move to the province and change her lifestyle.

Deputy

, the other potential candidate for governor, also appears as one of the options.

The same as

, who is considering going for re-election in the mayor of Rosario or seeking the governorship if Losada does not compete.

In socialism, Clara García appears as another possibility.
