Files of the week
• Leslie and Kevin: villainous ambush or romantic quarrel?
Leslie Hoorelbeke and Kevin Trompat Photograph provided by the family to Le Figaro.
This week, our attention once again focused on
the Leslie and Kevin affair
, in Deux-Sèvres.
The two bodies found in the Poitevin bocage were indeed those of the lovers, who disappeared in November.
Three men are indicted, two for murder, a third, Tom Trouillet, is prosecuted for "
kidnapping and forcible confinement
".
This close friend was at the origin of the meeting of the couple.
The first weeks following the disappearance, he had been very invested, participating in a citizen fight.
Her double game arouses disgust among Leslie's friends.
He would not have been insensitive to the charms of the young woman.
At the same time, he would have been involved, like Kevin, in drug trafficking.
The case, mixing drugs and love story, has not yet delivered all its mysteries.
Many gray areas persist.
One, in particular: what was the motive of the crime?
This question will be on everyone's mind this Sunday afternoon in Niort.
Starting at 2 p.m., Kevin's father organizes a march to honor his son.
Leslie's parents did not wish to participate in the event.
Le Figaro
will be there to tell you the story of the day.
• Murder of Valentin in Paris: the suspect suffers from mental disorders
This week,
Le Figaro
investigated the murder of
Valentin
, a history student whose body with 18 stab wounds was discovered in his apartment in the 16th arrondissement of Paris last Saturday.
Originally from Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze, this 21-year-old young man was invested in charities and dreamed of becoming a journalist.
The guard told us that she saw, on the day of the events, a “
hooded” man enter the building
.
On Wednesday, a suspect was arrested.
But his state of health was not compatible with being kept in police custody.
He was therefore taken to the psychiatric infirmary of the Paris police headquarters.
• Sectarian excesses: the noose is tightening around guru Thierry Casanovas
He had been in the sights of the authorities for several years.
Thierry Casanovas
, alleged naturopath follower of raw food, was indicted on Friday in particular for "
breach of trust
", "
illegal practice of medicine
" and "
laundering
".
This progress in the investigation comes as the government intends to intensify its fight against the gurus, as explained in a column by the Secretary of State for Citizenship, Sonia Backès.
The scourge of sectarian aberrations particularly affects "
executives and intellectual professions
", warns Franck Dannerolle, head of the Central Office for the Suppression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP).
