Nuremberg – The Verdi trade union has also called on health care workers in Central Franconia to go on warning strikes as part of the collective bargaining round in the public sector.

Employees - including the Nuremberg Clinic, the Fürth Clinic and various locations of the district clinics in Central Franconia - want to lay down their work on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 14th and 15th).

In view of the high inflation, Verdi and the civil servants' association dbb are demanding 10.5 percent more wages.
For employees of the municipalities and the federal government, there should be at least 500 euros more.

There will be “due to the warning strike, unfortunately, there will be significant restrictions in medical care,” said the Nuremberg Clinic, for example: “Operations must be canceled, including tumor operations.” Operations that cannot be postponed are taking place.
The warning strike will begin early on Tuesday and end after the night shift on Thursday morning.
