Verdi calls for warning strikes: clinic employees in Franconia want to lay down work

Employees - including the Nuremberg Clinic, the Fürth Clinic and various locations of the district clinics in Central Franconia - want to lay down their work on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 14th and 15th).

This was announced by the union on Sunday evening.

In view of the high inflation, Verdi and the civil servants' association dbb are demanding 10.5 percent more wages.

For employees of the municipalities and the federal government, there should be at least 500 euros more.

The warning strike will begin early on Tuesday and end after the night shift on Thursday morning.

The nurse and spokeswoman for the operating group at the Nuremberg Clinic, Anja Schmailzl, said: "We have been paying for the failed health policy with our physical and mental health for years." There is an "enormous willingness to strike".

Lots of work and little staff.

A nursing specialist from Middle Franconia recently reported on her everyday life in an interview with Merkur.de.

The situation is not only tense, "it's burning brightly."
