Berlin – Since 2014, Alina Merkau (36) has been part of the "Sat.1 breakfast television", which the 36-year-old usually moderates alongside her colleague Matthias Killing (43).
Recently, the native Berliner has established herself as an absolute favorite of viewers.
But then the excitement: the presenter was missing from the show for three long months.
On Monday (March 13) there was the long-awaited comeback.

The timing was no coincidence: "That was the last time we were able to do it freely before my daughter starts school," explains Alina Merkau of her absence from "Frühstücksfernsehen" and adds: "I had the feeling that we as a family will definitely not have this freedom for ten years. Traveling for several weeks has been on my list for a long time. But it will be nice to be back at work.”

However, she "didn't even notice" that many fans missed her so badly, but she also "didn't follow" what was happening.
Only her environment, including parts of the "Sat.1 breakfast television" team, would have pointed out the emotional fan reaction, reports Alina Merkau: "At some point, both from my colleagues and from friends, I received the reports that apparently they missed me.”

Her well-deserved break is now over – for the 36-year-old, however, that's not a big deal: "I have a job that I really enjoy."
