This trainer loves sports and wants to be in shape, but she has no interest in going on a diet and getting into size 36 jeans, and this is how she redefines the concept of "being in shape"

The fitness industry pushes the idea of men with square stomachs and women who look like dolls, but professional fitness trainer Sherry Rosalin thinks being fit has nothing to do with how you look.

The 22-year-old trainer began her fitness journey during her senior year of high school, after falling into a low state of mind due to the stressful year ahead.

On the advice of relatives, she decided to be a little more physical and found herself in the gym: "I just completely fell in love with it. I did kickboxing, weightlifting. And from there, it kind of created what I knew I wanted to do as a career," the Australian told news.com.au.

When she finished school, she went to university to further develop her passion for the fitness industry, earning a BA in Sports and Exercise Science and a BA in Psychology.

She is now doing a master's degree in exercise physiology, and at the same time works as a studio trainer.

She jokes that her training space in the studio combines her two pleasures - clubs and fitness, and says that her talents were never questioned because of her full figure, but she did say that there are expectations on her that she has to deal with because of the "stereotype" of what is commonly seen as fitness trainers

.

"When people come into the studio, I try to make everyone feel comfortable," she said, "and then once the workout starts, they see my skills."

"I think it doesn't really matter what I look like - in this kind of work, you get a lot further with the way you communicate with people and how you actually train them," she said "and people are already starting to realize how unrealistic Instagram workouts are, and I enjoy proving that fitness And power has nothing to do with wearing pants."

It's radical: there's a new relationship style in town that you've never heard of.

Do you also know which shape is "kiki" and which is "doll"?

"Fitness and exercise are for everyone. In an ideal world, everyone would do some form of exercise," she said.

"It doesn't have to be group classes or strength training, even if it's swimming, cycling, any type of exercise they enjoy."

She says that's why she got into exercise physiology to work with people with chronic illnesses.

"Everyone should go in there and try, and that's why it's so important to have a huge variety of people who are in charge of the training - so that people feel comfortable and don't feel ashamed to enter the studio: "It doesn't matter your age, it doesn't matter if you're just starting out, or you've been training for years.

Doing aerobics and that's great for improving heart health, and strength training is suitable for everyone," she said. "If it comes with aesthetics and other things, that's great, but your number one goal should be how you feel and experience yourself."
