Murnau - The numbers alone are impressive: 1416 people in just five days signed the citizens' application for the Omobi call bus in Murnau.

It would have been even 358 more if the makers hadn't made a formal mistake at the beginning.

The organizers Stefanie Fischer and Peter Wiesendanger from the Association for Economic Development, Rainer Paschen from the Seniors' Advisory Board and Sarah Heinze, Managing Director of the accident clinic, provided these values.

They handed over the folder with signatures to Mayor Rolf Beuting (ÖDP).

125 signatories were needed, one percent of the population in Murnau.

"It's so clear that people want that," says Stefanie Fischer.

In the citizens' application, they demand that the municipal council speak again about the call bus and revise its decision to discontinue this at the end of June.

The application spread in the market at breakneck speed.

"I expected that," says Rainer Paschen.

For example, he tells the touching story of three gentlemen who gave up their driving licenses in old age because the Omobi system took care of their everyday journeys.

You and many others have been disappointed.

Co-supporter Peter Wiesendanger emphasizes that nobody wants to attack the municipal council.

For him and his fellow campaigners, it is about working together on new concepts before the on-call bus for the entire Blue Land is to come in 2025.

Now the folder is with the administration, which checks the signatures for validity.
