Seven deputies and seven senators must meet Wednesday morning behind closed doors to reach an agreement on this very symbolic text of the quinquennium.

As of Wednesday, a new stage will be initiated in the legislative process of pension reform.

After a positive vote in the Senate at the end of last week, thanks to the voices of the right, the government is betting more than ever on the Joint Joint Committee (CMP) - a parliamentary structure which will be responsible for finding an agreement between seven deputies and seven senators.

Because the text from the Luxembourg Palace is not the same as that of the Palais Bourbon.

While this political circle is usually held behind closed doors, several Nupes deputies hope to upset the codes.

In a letter sent this Monday to the President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet, and revealed on his Twitter account, the boss of the PS deputies Boris Vallaud asks for transparency.

"In the name of the requirement for clarity, sincerity and transparency in parliamentary debates, the Socialist and related deputies request that the Conference of Presidents, meeting tomorrow Tuesday, March 14, 2023, may exceptionally decide on the publicity of the work of the CMP having to examine this text in the National Assembly on Wednesday March 15 at 9 a.m. ”,

urges the deputy of Landes.

And Boris Vallaud to give the means of his request:

“As the CMP meets in the room of the Social Affairs Committee, it could thus benefit from the audio and video recording and retransmission devices already present on site.”

If the President of the National Assembly has not yet followed up, the idea has aroused the enthusiasm of several elected Nupes.

Starting with the leader of the elected Insoumis: if Boris Vallaud's request was refused, Mathilde Panot will "

regularly leak

" the discussions of this commission.

"

I find it interesting, at a time when many aspects of this text have not been discussed, that citizens can know what is going on

," she said on LCP.

“Nothing good can come out of a closed meeting.

Failing that, a live-tweet is necessary”,

also mocked his colleague LFI Raquel Garrido.

The Nupes should have a definitive answer on Tuesday.
