While the prices of electricity and gas increased by 15% at the start of the year, this is much-awaited help by households.
The 2023 energy check will be paid “
from April 21
”, announced Agnès Pannier-Runacher this Monday morning on RMC.
In total, it will be “
5.8 million modest households
” who will receive this check by mail, “
automatically
”, and the amount of which will vary “
from 48 to around 200 euros depending on your level of income
”, specified the Minister for Energy Transition.
In 2022, its amount had varied precisely between 48 and 277 euros.
"
You can use it to pay your electricity bill, gas, wood, finally all the energies you use to heat you
," she added.
It can therefore also concern domestic fuel oil, for example.
In addition to the traditional 2022 energy check, an exceptional energy check of 100 to 200 euros was sent to 12 million households between the end of December 2022 and the start of 2023.
