There they tried to hide more than a
quarter kilo of cocaine
at the Ezeiza International Airport, which was kidnapped before it was shipped to the city of
Bombay, India as its final destination.
The incident occurred in the last few hours and was reported by the Airport Security Police (PSA), which publicized the case discovered in the framework of a special operation that took place at the aerodrome.
It was a preventive control carried out by the agents at the Ezeiza Post Office Terminal, in which
they checked packages and packages.
It was in one of the checks that they noticed the presence of a hidden organic substance in a parcel, for which they proceeded to search it.
The package contained a large cardboard children's book.
But what was inside it was not stories, but between its pages there was a false bottom with
four transparent nylon bags.
In them, a
"powdery and whitish substance"
had been stored , which was removed and subjected to chemical reagents.
The process tested positive for cocaine hydrochloride.
The drug was also present inside a board game that had puzzle pieces, which had also been used to hide the more than a quarter kilo of the substance.
As a result of the procedure, 262 grams of the narcotic drug were seized, which remained at the disposal of the National Economic Criminal Court 8 of Buenos Aires, in charge of Darío Gustavo Meirovich.
Alert in Ezeiza: in January they detected a large load of hashish
More than 17 kilos of hashish was kidnapped in January at the Ezeiza International Airport and activated a drug alert at the scene.
Known as "chocolate" in its strong markets of Europe and the United States, it is much more potent than marijuana because it contains a higher amount of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
The cargo was detected by Customs as coming from the United States, with a sender from a private individual, and they tried to enter the country inside a vacuum cleaner through the international courier system.
The shipment of hashish found in a vacuum cleaner, in Customs, coming from the United States.
"After a control over a particular import destination, 17.4 kilos of hashish were seized", with an estimated value of 21 thousand dollars", says the fine detail of the statement. There is another point to take into account: the value.
In Argentina, according to the same state body, a kilo of hashish would be valued at 1,200 dollars, while that of cocaine is estimated at 15,000.
The finding marks a turning point.
The most current reports, analyzed for some time now by customs officials, indicate that Paraguay has been detecting shipments of this drug for two years now.
And the final destination is the Triple Frontier, the geographical point where the limits of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil intersect.

But the new scenario marks now that our country is a direct destination for this new substance in the local market, where bands that carry out its retail sale have not yet been detected.
