US Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia between the end of March and the beginning of April, the White House announced on Monday March 13, following a United States-Africa summit which will take place between the end of March and the beginning of April. is held in Washington at the end of 2022.
In Accra, Dar es Salaam and Lusaka, Kamala Harris is due to meet with the presidents of the three countries to "
discuss regional and global priorities, including our shared commitment to democracy, inclusive and sustainable growth, food security
and the war in Ukraine, the statement said.

"Resilience and Climate Adaptation"
The Democratic vice-president will go there after a visit in February by Jill Biden, the president's wife, to the Horn of Africa, where she notably mentioned the record drought and agricultural and food issues.
Kamala Harris must therefore, according to the White House, work to support "
resilience and climate adaptation
" in the region.
The trip comes on the heels of a December Africa Summit in Washington, where President Joe Biden called for a broad partnership with Africa, and as the United States seek to assert their presence on the continent in the face of Chinese investment.
The president then promised to visit sub-Saharan Africa, possibly as early as 2023, which would be the first visit at this level since Barack Obama, who visited Kenya and Ethiopia in 2015.
