Four thirty-year-olds suspected of running a major cocaine and heroin resale network in western Lyon were arrested on Tuesday March 7, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Albanian nationals, they were arrested in Villeurbanne in possession of three kilos of heroin and one kilo of cutting product.
Some 8,000 euros in cash were also found, as well as a revolver and cartridges.
A principal was identified among the four men as well as two sellers and a supplier.
They had been placed under police surveillance following a tip.
They were to be presented to the prosecution in the afternoon for the opening of a judicial investigation.
This new seizure of heroin follows several others in recent weeks, notably at the scene of the dramatic fire on Chemin des Barques, in Vaulx-en-Velin.
In 2022, 140 kilos of this drug were seized in the department, as well as 146.6 of cocaine.
