A special karate class adapted for the third age has been running for several weeks on Tuesdays, in the city of Beit Shemesh.
The special class is taught voluntarily by Itamar Bartov, former CEO of the Municipality of Beit Shemesh and himself a black belt.
Itamar Bartov: "It is amazing to see the participants of the class training and trying as if they are just beginning their journey in the world of karate.
It's an experience for them and an experience for me.
We started during the Corona period to conduct these classes in the open space and now I am happy to continue"
Mayor of Beit Shemesh Dr. Aliza Bloch: It is exciting to see our old residents participating in a karate class taught voluntarily by our master, the former CEO of the municipality Itamar Bartov. I have no doubt that the classes constitute a unique physical activity for veterans and it is clear to me that Itamar also enjoys it very much"
