Invited on France 2, Clément Beaune strongly deplored the inaction of Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, a city which, last Sunday, and on the seventh day of the garbage collectors' strike, was crumbling under 5,400 tonnes of uncollected waste.

The garbage collectors' strike, I respect it
", immediately specified the Minister Delegate in charge of Transport.
“But when you are responsible for a very large city, and in particular the capital, you have the responsibility to act.
“Between the nauseating odors, the waste lying around and the rats proliferating, Clément Beaune believes that there is now “a question of public health and safety” which is at stake.
"It's not the garbage collectors' strike that worries me so much, it's that it's Anne
Hidalgo who's on strike: she's doing nothing
," insisted the minister.

The mayors of the arrondissements
, half of the deputies of Paris questioned her and she did not deign to answer
”, he also lamented, proposing, as a temporary solution.

The police of public health is in the hands of the mayor of Paris.
