Gathered in front of the administrative center of the Alpes-Maritimes, in Nice (Cadam), CGT strikers warm up their voices and sing a well-rehearsed song in chorus.

"Mr. Prefect... If you don't open... It's going to be pitch black in your house!"

, they howl in front of a closed gate, Tuesday morning.

They carried out this threat.

For about an hour, the prefecture and the county council no longer had power.

The energy branch of the CGT is in charge of this action.

“We were to be received at 10:30 a.m., and his firm canceled.

This pissed off the friends.

So we did what we know how to do best

, ”assumes Patrick Santo, the local secretary general of the CGT energy.

It was through the electricity network that they carried out this action.

Enedis, the manager, reacted immediately.

The company announces to file a complaint, as every time there is a voluntary cut of this kind.

“Enedis respects the right to strike but condemns any illegal act.

These actions do not correspond to public service missions”,

explains the company.

Non-striking technicians restored the situation as quickly as possible.

“The company has chosen its camp

, reacts Patrick Santo.

She is doing this to potentially break the strike and prove that she is in favor of working two more years.

Monday, the CGT energy had already carried out this type of action at Cannes-Mandelieu airport by cutting off the electricity for an hour.

"The agents wanted to place him in energy sobriety"

, they indicate, alluding to the previous comments of the government.

They will demonstrate again on Wednesday in this decisive week for the pension reform project.

Other actions are not to be ruled out, they warn.

Since last week, they have been shutting down hydroelectric power stations, which forces - according to them - to import.

The CGT energy of the Alpes-Maritimes also claims the cut of the interconnected line with Italy, which was increasing the import prices of energy, according to them.

In line with their desire to

“bring France to a halt”

.
