The drama of violence in

Rosario

and its surroundings does not stop and reaches the schools.

A few hours after learning about the case of a 14-year-old student injured by a stray bullet when he was in his school yard, a shocking drawing

made by a 7-year-old boy came to light

when his teacher asked him to represent his neighborhood during an activity in class.

"When my son sent me the drawing,

I got a lump in my throat,

" said Thiago's grandfather, a student at a school in

Capitán Bermúdez,

a city located just 20 kilometers north of Rosario, the epicenter of drug violence. .

And it was no wonder.

The situation occurred within the framework of an activity that tried to draw

the place where the student lived,

taking into account those elements that could be used to locate him.

So, the boy grabbed his colored pencils and began to illustrate a scene that was chilling.

He portrayed

a man with a cap and a gun in one of his hands who points and shoots at another person with his hands raised

, a clear example of the criminal reality that is going through and shaking the province.

"When I received the message and saw my grandson's drawing,

I felt sadness

, because I wonder

what future we are leaving for the youngest

. I don't know if he was watching the news or what, the truth is that he identifies his neighborhood with the delinquency", summed up Juan Manuel, his grandfather, in dialogue with

TN and La Gente

.

And he added: "My grandson has that image in his head that he described very well in a drawing. Unfortunately it is a reality that we cannot hide from him."

Meanwhile, crimes do not stop in the province.

And even a 14-year-old boy was in danger at a school when he was hit by a stray bullet that entered from outside and caused him a minor injury.

The episode occurred this Monday morning at the Nuestra Señora de Lourdes Professional Technical School, located at Presbítero Dusso 5180, in the Schneider neighborhood of the capital of Santa Fe.

The teenager was in a schoolyard when he was injured.

The projectile grazed the student's shoulder and arm, for which he was treated at the establishment by health personnel who verified that the wound was superficial, so miraculously he should not have been transferred to a care center.

The incident caused a commotion in the educational community of the Lourdes School, which in the morning houses the technical school of the secondary level.

Experts from the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Santa Fe police were working in the schoolyard to try to determine the origin of the shot, while they were going to analyze the projectile, which tore the teenager's sweater.

The spokesmen indicated that some 500 students were in the open courtyard of the school praying the rosary and that the injured boy, who is in his second year, was sitting on a flowerbed.

Fabián Jerkovich, legal representative of the school, said that the boy "explained to his classmates an annoyance, then it was seen that his shirt was perforated and the emergency service was called."

"It was a scratch, but since this was allegedly caused by a projectile, they later contacted the police," he concluded.

Classes are not suspended due to heat

The Ministry of Education of the province of Santa Fe

ruled out suspending classes

in the district on Tuesday due to the heat wave that affects the central region of the country, but clarified that current regulations authorize school directors to cease activities for reasons

exceptional

.

In this sense, the Secretary of Education of the province, Víctor Debloc, reported that the Ministry of Health recommended to the Minister of Education, Adriana Cantero, "that Physical Education classes not be carried out, which generally take place on

a

property outdoors and that due to the high temperatures are inconvenient".

"There is an article of Decree 456 that empowers the director and the supervisor to approve a request to partially or totally suspend (classes) for a couple of hours, half a day or a whole day when there are exceptional situations," Debloc said.

In statements to radio LT9 in Santa Fe, the official clarified that the rule "does not particularly mention heat, but refers to when the physical integrity (of the students) is affected."

In this sense, he gave as an example a situation that occurred this Wednesday in schools in the cities of Santa Fe and Gálvez, where there were water pressure problems, for which "the Regional Delegation intervened and allowed the suspension of classes."

In addition, he explained that "for a general suspension (of classes)" the "approval or consent of the Ministry of Health" is expected, as happened in "previous years" when there were problems in some schools derived from the burning of pastures, which They generated a lot of smoke.
