96 young business people and electronics technicians who had shortened their training received their certificates at the graduation ceremony of the vocational school in Schongau.

Schongau - "Paradise conditions on the job market", promised headmaster Andreas Streinz to the successful graduates.

Companies in the country were desperately looking for skilled workers.

According to an IHK survey, many companies even see the shortage of skilled workers as the greatest business risk at the moment, as Streinz reported.

The headmaster wanted the young business people and electronics technicians to contribute with their workforce to the supply of skilled workers in the region and thus also ensure positive economic conditions in the future.

The deputy district administrator of Weilheim-Schongau, Wolfgang Taffertshofer (BfL), also referred to the shortage of skilled workers in his speech and assured that local politics are making their contribution to solving the problem: "Equipping the schools has the highest priority for the district." Furthermore, Taffertshofer paid tribute to the graduates, who always “fought through” and didn't give up, even when faced with difficulties.

"The last thing you need is long ramblings from politicians"

Then it was Susann Enders' turn, member of the state parliament and general secretary of Freie Wahler Bayern.

Enders wanted to keep her speech short because “the last thing you need is long ramblings from politicians”.

Enders expressed their respect for the achievements of the graduates and also thanked the teachers and training companies for their work.

Addressing the young business people and electronics technicians, she said: “Never let yourself be persuaded that you have limits.

Reach for the stars and land on the moon.” You don't need a PhD to achieve great things.

From her experience in politics, Enders already knows that that title can often be gone quickly.

Representing the entire student body, Tamy Erdinger and Carolina Zurl addressed a few words to the visitors of the graduation ceremony.

The two retail saleswomen emphasized that the students had done great work despite difficulties such as homeschooling or train delays and wished all graduates the best for the future.

Then came the big moment for the graduates: the bank, industry, wholesale and foreign trade, office and retail clerks as well as the electronics technicians for industrial engineering and energy and building technology received their certificates from their respective class teachers.

The school award winners, i.e. the three best in an apprenticeship, were particularly honored.

The four graduates with the best grade of 1.0 received a state prize and cash prize: Noah Pantele, Angela Dohr, Markus Wichtl and Tamy Erdinger.

The two graduates from Peiting, bank clerk Selvie Kamberi and office clerk Jonas Hübner, received a special honor: They also received an appreciation from Peiting's mayor Peter Ostenrieder (CSU) and a monetary gift from the market community in recognition of their achievements.

The members of the Viva school choir under the direction of Thilo Braun proved that the vocational school center has not only technical and commercial but also musical specialists to offer.

Throughout the evening they offered the visitors of the closing ceremony the best musical entertainment with their diverse repertoire.
