The popular deputies make ugly the lack of the president and half of the Executive, displaced to Lanzarote for a Spanish-Portuguese summit

Congress held this Wednesday an unusual government control session due to the absence of the President of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, and a large part of his ministers, who are in Lanzarote for the XXXIV Spanish-Portuguese Summit, a situation that the deputies from the main opposition party to ensure that the Executive is "on the run", that it is "decaying" and does not want to "show face".

During the session, which has had a different order than usual, the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has replied that the president and the rest of the cabinet are fulfilling their obligations.

"With pleasure, those of us who are here are going to answer the questions of the opposition," the minister of Montero has settled.

The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska,

case mediator

―for which the former socialist deputy Juan Fernando Fuentes, nicknamed

Tito Berni

, resigned― or

the barracks case,

in which the alleged rigging of works contracts in 13 command posts is being investigated.

Marlaska has boasted of the "collaboration of the security forces with the judiciary" and has reminded the PP of its management of the Interior.

"I'm not proverbial, but the thief believes that everyone is like him," Minister Marlaska replied to the deputy Ana Belén Vázquez (PP).

The Minister of the Interior has criticized Deputy Vázquez for the actions of the popular in the Ministry of the Interior, and the procedures that are still open in the courts, such as the

Kitchen case

, which investigates the police operation mounted to spy without judicial control on the former treasurer of the PP Luis Bárcenas and to snatch the compromising documentation for the party.

“I think what you remember from another Ministry of the Interior, from those people with whom you are closely related, like Mr. Fernández Díaz, like Mr. [Francisco] Martínez, those who broke computers, who stole or tried to steal evidence of corruption to avoid the action of justice", he added, referring to the former Minister of the Interior and his Secretary of State for Security, during the Government of Mariano Rajoy.

Marlaska has also referred to "those who in 2017 tried to stop and stopped an investigation by the internal affairs unit of the Civil Guard", alluding to the

barracks case.

.

In another subsequent intervention, when the deputy Mikel Legarda (PNV) asked him about the cases of corruption that affect the Civil Guard, Marlaska has influenced this supposed paralysis of the

barracks case

.

“The government on duty at that time, in 2017, seems to have stopped that investigation. When did that investigation restart?

When the dignity of the Civil Guard, the National Police has been restored and they are not used, in June 2018, when this Government arrived ”, he added.

The PP deputy has accused the Minister of the Interior of being "strong with his subordinates and weak with the corrupt PSOE."

"The socialist Santos Cerdán told the deputy Tito Berni that he had to resign, that he had photos."

How did they know

?

You are the informer with stripes”, Ana Belén Vázquez replied in an intervention that also cited the case of works in police headquarters.

"It is indecent that he wants to turn the case of deputy Tito Berni into the Civil Guard case [in reference to the

barracks case

] to cover up the PSOE deputies, cocaine and brothels," added Vázquez.

Vox waves its motion of censure

Another of the moments of greatest tension occurred during the meeting between the Vox deputy, Ignacio Gil Lázaro, and the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños.

"What else is left to put up with from this government?" Asked Gil Lázaro, who has branded the Executive as "broken, useless, arrogant and sectarian."

The Vox representative has stressed the need for the motion of no confidence presented by his formation and which begins to be debated next Tuesday.

"The one that is supported by millions of Spaniards who demand elections already on May 28 and who are not willing to continue swallowing their lie and their propaganda," the Vox deputy snapped.

The Minister of the Presidency has replied by saying that what Vox calls "enduring", he calls "democracy", and has made the opposition ugly that it is difficult for them to "face reality".

Bolaños has taken the opportunity to attack the PP to ask if they are going to vote in favor of the pension reform and ask them to explain their position in the motion of no confidence, in which the popular will abstain.

"Are you afraid that Abascal will be upset?", He has asked the popular, who were not in the use of the word.

"You are in the noise, in that the citizens do not know what we are doing, because we are, from the Government, advancing in rights, in freedoms, in the minimum wage, pensions, in economic growth, in rights, in employment ,

in everything that affects the citizenry and not in what you try to cover up so that the citizens do not hear it.

For this reason, the facts do not like to confront the right or the ultra-right.

This PP and this Vox, which are the same ”, he has equalized.
