Brand Studio for Uber
In the month of women,
Uber dresses in purple with a special promotion
for all those women who want to join as drivers or for those who are registered but have not yet made trips, being able to
obtain up to an additional $25,000 when completing their first 15 trips before on March 29, 2023.
Special promotion in the month of women.
This initiative is part of Uber's commitment to continue driving growth in the number of women registered to drive with the app.
The platform seeks to encourage them to use the application to make trips and
generate earnings independently
, with all the technological advantages of the platform.
“There are still structural and socio-cultural barriers that enhance the gender gap among those who drive.
At Uber, we seek to generate a positive impact with initiatives that address areas for improvement and help more women take advantage of the opportunities offered by the platform," said Eli Frías, Uber's Regional Operations Manager for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
“We are going to continue developing tools that facilitate access for women to generate earnings and have economic independence,” she added.
Uber was
a pioneer among mobility apps in thinking about women behind the wheel
and, through technology, develops functions and tools to optimize the experience of female drivers registered in the app on each trip.
Thus, since 2020, the Uber Ellas function has existed, an exclusive tool so that female drivers registered in the app can choose to receive trip requests only from users identified as women.
Uber Ellas is currently available in 14 points in the country.
According to the platform's analysis, in Latin America women who register to drive through the app will take longer than men to make their first trip.
However, with
Uber Ellas, female drivers registered in the app gain more confidence
to take the plunge and make their first trip in a shorter time.
In the country, the
Uber Ellas function is available in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Rosario, Mar del Plata, Tucumán, Comodoro Rivadavia, Salta, Santa Fe, Corrientes, Posadas, Jujuy, Paraná and Bahía Blanca.

Safety first
All
trips made in the Uber app are covered by SURA for Personal Accidents and Civil Liability
, which are automatically activated from the moment the driver registered in the app accepts a trip until that the last of the users gets out of the vehicle.
In addition, these trips have all the security features available on the Uber platform so that users and driver partners registered in the app travel more and more safely: Security Center, time sharing real, audio recording during trips, PIN verification that allows users to ensure they are in the correct vehicle;
RideCheck, which detects travel anomalies such as unexpected stops, 911 button in case of emergency, 24/7 Support for assistance, among others.
