In one of the luxury towers near Tel Aviv's beach and on the 25th floor, there is a 160 square meter apartment that serves as a temporary home for a family of foreign residents during their visits to Israel. The apartment, which is actually a private hotel for a family living in London, includes six rooms and areas including: living room - for entertaining , converting and watching TV; a huge kitchen equipped as a small restaurant with a comfortable and well-designed seating counter; a dining room with a table for 14 diners; a master bedroom with a spacious bathroom and a closet that is not ashamed of a small mansion; two guest rooms with a work area, a bathroom For guests, a service and systems space and a large balcony overlooking the sea and the horizon, with a conversion corner for an entire family.

The family lives permanently abroad, is engaged in the field of finance and has an affinity for religion, the Jewish tradition and Israel.

The architect Guy Valikson received the apartment on a shell level only.

The owners had very specific definitions and needs which were discussed and agreed upon before the planning and design.

The owners of the house gave Likson a free hand when it comes to design, materials and colors and at the same time wanted to get a feeling of vacationing in a luxury hotel during their stay in Israel.

In light of this, the proximity of the apartment to the sea, the blue view from it, Valixon designed the apartment as a unit in a luxury hotel on the Riviera.

Befitting a luxury hotel, Valixon created homeliness and optimal comfort during the stay alongside elements that are adapted to the sea environment and also used rich and varied natural materials.

The apartment is richly furnished with seating and dining areas - whether on the balcony or inside the various spaces of the house, thereby allowing maximum comfort in all the spaces of the house.

"When we arrive at a hotel, we just don't want to leave. We have so much fun and comfort there, we feel enveloped. This is the feeling I wanted to create," Valikson explains.

The entrance to the house is towards the west, so as soon as you pass through the door of the apartment, a blue view of the sky and water opens up, as well as a view of the reddish Neve Tzedek neighborhood at the foot of the tower.

The kitchen is located to the right of the door, the living room is in the center of the apartment and to the left of the living room is a partition in the form of a large library made entirely of natural iron with compartments and thin iron shelves.

The library creates another and separate space where a long dining table covered with rough black leather is placed which is also inspired by the material and the natural look.

The space is illuminated by floor-to-ceiling windows with a spectacular view to the west and south, and the table itself is illuminated by a 'traveling' light fixture on cables stretched along the ceiling that also end in an iron plate coming down from the ceiling.

Another library made of natural wood and iron accompanies the entire public space of the living room, kitchen and dining room and through it you enter the room complex.

A combination of white vertical elements connect it to the ceiling of the house.

In the bedrooms, Valixon again uses natural and softer materials.

In the master bedroom, a wall covering made of light bamboo husks that conveys the connotation of shacks in a seaside environment, a thick and soft carpet, airy bedding, light and soft furniture and continuing the line of thought of comfort with finishes of a sea environment.

"The design of the bedrooms is similar to that of luxury resorts, giving a feeling of the Riviera and also the furniture in the form of a desk or a small writing corner supports this."

The choice of the dark tones and in particular the floor that transmits "the power of a mountain crater" - according to Velikson, was made in light of the fact that they transmit prestige and a massive presence.

The floor combines shades of gray and is processed in a way that leaves little of its natural roughness and wildness.

The entire kitchen is dark gray monochromatic, both the tall cabinets and the island that separates it from the living room.

However, to give a warm expression, refinement and connection to the natural wood motif, Valixon used a light, clean and clear wood palette that floats above the island, creating a contrast and enriching the richness of the entire kitchen with a pleasant wink.

The combination of pink and light blue in the selection of the living room furniture and the carpets designed by Valikson himself, alongside the light colors of the furniture and walls in the bedrooms, actually creates a contrast to the dominant dark color of the house.

In the living room, two sofas are placed opposite each other.

The sofas are upholstered in a rich fabric (one of them in light blue and the other in pink) and give a feeling of maximum softness and comfort.

Valikson left the family a technological apartment equipped with a full and rich finish level in terms of electrical appliances, bookcases and other items.

In light of the family's affinity for religion, a "smart home" system was implemented in the apartment, which allows the family to observe Shabbat while staying there.

As well as advanced sound and audio systems and other technological systems were installed.

The floor of the balcony is covered with wooden planks and furnished in a seating area that includes a deep sofa and armchairs for maximum comfort.

The couple has very, very specific tastes, so the bedding and other bedroom items, the dinnerware and other personal items at home were very carefully selected and sent especially from London to Israel.
