"Disappeared from Isère": the body of one of the victims exhumed by the justice

The remains of Fabrice Ledoux, one of the "disappeared from Isère" kidnapped in 1989, was exhumed as part of new investigations carried out by the "cold cases" center of Nanterre.

The cases of several children who disappeared or were killed in Isère in the 1980s and 1990s are grouped together under the name of “

disappeared from Isère

”.

Among them: Fabrice Ladoux, 12, kidnapped on January 13, 1989 between his home and his college in Grenoble, and found dead a few days later in the Chartreuse massif.

Parisien

, the investigating judge Sabine Kheris, coordinator of the unit dedicated to unsolved criminal cases, has decided to relaunch the investigations around his death.

The examining magistrate went "

to the scene last week (...) to carry out an exhumation

", indicated the parquet floor of Nanterre, without further details.

New DNA expertise

According to

Le Parisien

, the aim was in particular to carry out new DNA expertise and to carry out a new medical examination of the body of Fabrice Ladoux.

Drones also flew over the area where the child's body was found to make a 3D modeling of the crime scene, the newspaper said.

Installed since March 1, 2022 at the Nanterre judicial court, the national pole dedicated to “

cold cases

” looks into cases sometimes half a century old which have resisted investigators across the country.

In total, out of 222 investigations examined by the division, 77 procedures were opened.

Nineteen had ceased to be the subject of investigations and Nanterre relaunched them.
