Crisis of Bordeaux winegrowers: uprooting will begin in October

It is now official: Bordeaux winegrowers in crisis will benefit from a subsidy of 6000 euros per hectare uprooted.

Led by the prefecture, the operational cell viticulture in Gironde which met this Wednesday detailed the modalities of the future uprooting.

The compensation is financed by three envelopes: 30 million euros immediately released by the State, 10 million euros spread over two or three years for New Aquitaine and 19 million drawn from the coffers of the Interprofessional Council of Bordeaux wines. (CIVB).
