Two weeks after the discovery of the bodies in Charente-Maritime, the relatives of Kevin Trompat, 21, who disappeared last November in Deux-Sèvres, will be reunited this Thursday afternoon in Niort, on the occasion of his funeral.
Those of Leslie, his girlfriend also deceased, will take place on Saturday in La Rochelle.
A religious ceremony must be held at 2 p.m. at the Saint-Hilaire church.
It comes four days after the white march which brought together 300 people in Niort.
In an atmosphere charged with emotion, the father of the deceased, Guy Trompat had asked “
that justice be done.
“
It's insurmountable.
They destroyed lives, destroyed my life.
I will not be able to live without my son
,” he told the press.
Solidarity momentum
Leslie's loved ones will gather on Saturday for a cremation ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
"
The family would like to thank everyone for this outpouring of solidarity that has surrounded us for three months
," wrote Leslie's father, Patrick Hoorelbeke on a Facebook group created for the couple's research.
The two young people had disappeared during the night of November 25 to 26 in Prahecq, a village in Deux-Sèvres.
Their bodies were found on March 3 and 4 in two different but close places, near Puyravault (Charente-Maritime).
They were killed with a "
blunt object
" announced the Poitiers prosecutor's office.
But the motive of the suspects, three young men aged 22 to 23 and indicted, remains unclear.
The public prosecutor spoke of a “sentimental disappointment and/or financial debts.”
The first track could be linked to possible feelings of one of the indicted towards Leslie, of whom he was the friend and who had been in a relationship with Kevin shortly before the disappearance.
The second track could be linked to drug trafficking in which Kevin took part.
