After the meteorological beginning of spring, the question now arises: What will the weather be like at Easter?
If you believe well-known peasant rules, things will get chilly.
Kassel – The weather does what it wants, that's what well-known farmer's rules say.
The best example is probably the weather wisdom "April, April, he does what he wants!".
But March is also currently showing a very varied side.
Mild weather is followed by storms and snow showers, winter is not letting up yet.
According to weather experts, it can get colder again from mid-March.
The temperatures can therefore remain clearly in the single-digit range.
The fact that winter is returning could be due to the so-called “Lake Effect”.
The weather phenomenon can also bring large amounts of snow.
However, few experts are currently daring to make a weather forecast for Easter.
However, the pawn rules give a clear trend.

Weather at Easter: farmer's rules show a clear trend
Peasant rules do not predict the weather from a meteorological point of view, but are based on long-term observations.
The first forecasts for spring and thus also for Easter can be read from the course of the weather of the previous winter.

According to the
German Weather Service (DWD),
farmer's rules are predictions that are partly based on long-term weather observations and therefore often have a core of truth.
They are not that reliable for official weather forecasts, but an initial weather trend can be estimated using farmer's rules.
If one consults well-known farmer's rules such as "If it's too warm in February, you'll freeze to the core at Easter" or "February with frost and wind makes Easter days mild", there is a clear tendency that winter is still one time will last.
Since the weather in February was much too warm, we could - if you believe the farmer's rules - freeze at Easter 2023.
Weather: From a meteorological point of view, Easter is an absolute all-rounder
The 100-year calendar agrees.
Here it says for the period from April 1st to 16th: "A frosty cold time is beginning again".
From a meteorological point of view, Easter is an absolute all-rounder.
A look at the weather history shows: From summer temperatures above 25 degrees to frosty Easter and snow, everything can be there.
As
wetter.de
reports, even the probability of snow at Easter is sometimes greater than at Christmas.

However, a concrete weather forecast for spring and Easter cannot be read from the farmer's rules.
The weather in spring is also traditionally very varied.
From snow surprises to early summer days, everything can be there again this year.
