If Éric Ciotti deplores
the "failure"
of the use of article 49.3 in the Assembly to adopt the pension reform without a vote, the president of LR announced that his party would not support a motion of censure.
“The crisis situation in the country would not bear a fatal blow to our democracy and our institutions today
,” he declared Thursday afternoon to the press.
"We will never participate in a coalition of extremes whose sole purpose is to carry the revolution and destroy our institutions"
, he warned, targeting without naming the LFI and RN deputies.
Éric Ciotti indicated that this decision had been the subject of a group discussion, and that
“all the members who were present agreed with the very majority decision of the group”
.
Pradié does not rule out voting for Liot
However, not everyone hears it that way at LR.
MP Aurélien Pradié, who did not rule out voting against the reform contrary to the group's instructions, told BFM TV that
"each member of the group remains completely free to participate in another motion of censure"
.
Warning that he
"does not wish to associate his voices with those of LFI or the RN"
, the deputy for Lot clarified that he could vote for a motion of censure tabled by the small centrist group Liot.
