Oscar Baños
was a merchant and was 73 years old.
On Saturday, a young man entered his family pantry, located in Barrio Belgrano, about 3 kilometers north of the city of Santa Fe, asking for food. The grocer gave him an alfajor.
He would never imagine that this good deed had been granted to whoever
ended up being his murderer
of him.
The next day, shortly before 10, that same person appeared again at the premises located on Manuel Alberti street at 3000. This time, he did it
for the purpose of robbery
.
He began to demand all the money from the box.
For reasons that are trying to be established, at one point the offender took a blade that was in the store.
He stabbed her
eight times
: six in the abdomen, one in the lung, and one in the neck.
And he escaped.
The victim was urgently transferred by his relatives to the new Iturraspe hospital.
She agonized for almost three days.
Due to the seriousness of the injuries,
he died on Tuesday, the same day as Edith's birthday
, his wife who witnessed the brutal attack.
According to the woman, she got up on Sunday, but it was early and Oscar told her to go to sleep a little longer.
A few minutes later, she heard the noise of bottles and approached the store.
She came across the bloody scene.
"Oscar gave him everything and told him '
command you to move from here'
. I just left and he turned around. He saw me and wanted to protect me. I saw the boy in the white shirt who was behind him and everything happened there," he recalled in dialogue with
Aire Santa Fe.
Oscar defended himself with an umbrella that was thrown away.
And in the corner they found the bloody blade that the family ended up handing over to the Police.

After midnight, members of the capital's Radioelectric Command arrested the alleged perpetrator of the homicide.
He had served time for another crime and was released in July 2022.
The arrest occurred after a neighbor called 911 alerting to the presence of the 32-year-old attacker in the vicinity of Estanislao Zeballos and San José, in the San José neighborhood.
In the presence of the police, the suspect
abruptly changed course
to avoid the agents, but managed to be intercepted and taken to the 9th Santa Fe Police Station.
Upon identifying him, it was learned that he was a criminal with a criminal record.
Gabriel Alejandro Sosa, known as "Copete".

, he had been sentenced to 13 years in prison for being the murderer of Cristian Iván Díaz (18) in mid-October 2009. Nine months after having regained his freedom, he fell for a new crime.
The pain of Oscar's family
"He was a good man, a good neighbor, a good father. He was the grandfather of everyone here. My father did not deserve this. We want justice and that this does not happen to anyone again," said Griselda, Oscar's daughter.
"He gave everything, he always took care of himself with smiles. The family is destroyed. The business is mine, I occupied his house. He was my employee without pay. He took care of me and I went out to do the shopping," he added.
He said that his father lived 44 years ago in the Belgrano neighborhood and was very loved.
"He lived on the sidewalk and knew everything that was happening. He helped a neighbor when she was about to have a family and accompanied the young women who were waiting for the bus on the corner to avoid being robbed," he said.
"My dad did not deserve this. We want justice and that this does not happen to anyone again
," he concluded.
Relatives, friends and neighbors met this Thursday at the headquarters of the neighborhood in the General Belgrano neighborhood, where they were going to carry out an act in repudiation of the murder.
